Rare Javanese Sitting Monkey Sculpture with hand on stomach. Originally used on the corner of the rooftop coping on a home to ward off any bad luck. This primitive style piece likely dates back to the early 1900s. The figure is in very good condition with some arm repair and a small chip on the foot on the arm. Originates from Central Java.
